Darlington Transistors

Darlington transistor, or Darlington pair, consists of two (or more) bipolar transistors (or other similar integrated circuits or discrete components) in electronics. The current be amplified by the first bipolar transistor can be further amplified by this structure, which can provide a much higher current gain than any of the bipolar transistors. In the case of integrated current chips, Darlington transistors can make the chip take up less space than using two discrete transistor components because the two transistors can share one collector. Darlington transistors are typically packaged in a single chip that looks like a bipolar transistor from outside. Sometimes, eight such structures are included in the integrated circuit chip for easy use.
